In the use of tractors, the clutch is one of the most frequent faulty components. Whether it is the famous brand Dongfanghong, Lovolo, or Dongfeng, Gengwang, Changfa and other tractor brands, there have been serious problems with clutches. Not only in the past, but until now, the clutches of these well-known brand tractors continue to have problems in use, some are manipulating problems, some are quality problems, and some have both problems.

 

Once the tractor clutch has occurred problems, the replacement of the clutch parts requires broken waist repair, which is unacceptable to a user who has not bought the tractor trailer chassis for a long time. Users, dealers, and manufacturers are often blushing about the clutch problem. So why are there so many clutch problems? Let's take a look at the reasons below:

 

First, you need to understand the function of the tractor engine and clutch. The clutch is installed behind the tractor engine and before the transmission. The basic function is to transfer and cut off power. The main functions are: to transfer power from the engine to the transmission; to ensure that the engine and the tractor engine starts smoothly; to ensure that the tractor shifts smoothly or temporarily stops; prevents the transmission system of overloading; the double-acting clutch also acts to transmit or cut off the power output. At present, dry friction clutches are widely used in tractor drive trains, which are divided into single-acting clutches and double-acting clutches. Most of the clutches used on medium-high horsepower tractors are double-acting clutches.

Secondly, because of factors that affect the power transmission of the friction clutch, the maximum torque (static friction torque) that the friction clutch can transmit depends on the maximum pressing force between the friction surfaces, the size of the friction surface, the number of friction surfaces, and the nature of the friction material (friction coefficient) . For a clutch with a certain structure, the static friction torque is a fixed tractor value. When the input torque reaches this value, the tractor clutches will slip, thereby limiting the torque received by the transmission system and preventing overload.

 

Finally, due to the basic performance requirements of the friction clutch of the tractors, the clutch must have a suitable torque reserve capability, which can ensure the maximum torque output from the engine without slipping, and at the same time prevent the drive train from being overloaded; it can be separated quickly and completely, and the engagement is smooth gentle, ensure smooth shifting and starting, avoid jitter and impact; good heat dissipation, dissipate the heat generated during slipping in time, prevent frictional heat decline and ensure reliable clutch operation; In order to reduce the impact of gears during gear shifting, the inertia of the driven part should be as small as possible; it has reliable strength when rotating at high speed, and attention should be paid to dynamic balance to reduce the effect of centrifugal force; it should have the ability to absorb vibration, shock and noise; light-weight operation to reduce the labor intensity of the driver.
