Solutions to oil leakage of main assembly of tractor

Tractor Transmission leakage

 

The gearbox is an important part of the tractor transmission system. There are many gears, gear shafts and bearings in the gearbox to realize the variable torsional transmission of the tractor. Gear oil is an important lubricant in the gearbox. If oil leakage occurs, it will aggravate the wear of gear, gear shaft, bearing and other parts. Transmission leakage is mainly caused by the following aspects:

 

(1) Leakage will be caused by aging and deformation of sealing gaskets and oil seals of the gearbox, wrong installation direction of oil seals, eccentric wear or depression of shaft journal, and lax coordination with oil seals.

 

(2) The vent hole on the top cover of the gearbox is blocked, and the excessive internal pressure caused by the gear operation breaks through the weak sealing parts. If the gearbox leakage in many places and in the case of high temperature of the box housing, generally belongs to the box cover on the air hole is blocked by dust and mud, ventilation performance becomes poor, resulting in the pressure inside the box than outside the atmospheric pressure, oil temperature is high, causing lubricating oil is too thin and leakage.

 

(3) The oil level in the gearbox is too high, and the quantity exceeds the specified standard. The splash pressure of the lubricating oil is higher than normal.

 

The gearbox shell is broken, and the gearbox side cover is not tightly installed.

 

 

2. The half shaft oil seal oil leakage

 

Half axle is one of the important parts of tractor. It connects rear axle and wheels to transmit power. Its reliability directly affects the safety of tractor. The skeleton type self-tightening oil seal is installed in the bearing cover of the outer end of the axle housing. The oil leak in the axle part of the tractor is mostly caused by the loss of the sealing effect of the oil seal. The failure of half shaft oil seal is mainly caused by the following reasons.

 

(1) Correctly measure the diameter of oil seal edge to ensure the interference between oil seal and half shaft. A large amount of interference is better, but too large will affect the service life of the oil seal, and too small will make the sealing performance worse.

 

(2) The half-shaft oil seal does not cooperate directly with the rolling bearing, but the technical condition of the bearing directly affects the working effect of the oil seal. From the sealing point of view, a certain degree of coaxiality must be ensured between the half shaft bearing and the outer journal of oil seal. If the radial runout of the half shaft journal is too large, the sealing performance of oil seal on the half shaft will be reduced or destroyed.

 

(3) Influence of lubricating oil on oil seal work. Because the diameter of both ends of the axle sleeve pipe is smaller than the diameter of the inner cavity, the inner cavity is easy to retain the soil, dust, etc., so that the impurities in the lubricating oil increase, so be sure to clean the axle sleeve inner cavity when repairing and installing. Lubricating oil too thin will also produce leakage, so the seasonal requirements must be timely replacement of lubricating oil.

 

3. The Shock Absorber Leaks Oil

 

A tractor shock absorber is a kind of vibration absorber on a tractor. A shock absorber leak is an oil leak in the shock absorber oil seal or liner. The main causes of oil leakage are as the followings.

 

(1) Damaged oil seal gasket and felt oil seal, oil will leak out from the end of the piston rod.

 

(2) If the seal gasket is damaged, oil will leak out from the tractor engine cylinder wall.

 

Shock absorber leakage mainly occurs in the tractor engine piston rod oil seal and the edge of the tractor engine cylinder nut. If there is an oil leak in the piston rod, it may be oil seal or piston rod surface damage. If an oil leak occurs at the cylinder nut, the nut may be loose or the seal gasket may fail. In both cases a new oil seal or seal gasket should be replaced.
