Winter is coming. Tractor operations in some areas have been completed or are about to be completed. After completing farm operations, the tractor must be stored for a long time. During long-term parking in winter, scientific and special maintenance of the tractor is very important. They must be properly preserved and sealed, and kept in a good environment to prevent corrosion, aging and deformation of parts. Otherwise, the tractor will deteriorate faster than working.

Therefore, before the tractor is sealed, it must be thoroughly cleaned, adjusted, and fastened according to working hours to complete the required technical maintenance, so that the tractor engine is in good technical condition. The common causes of tractor damage during storage are as follows:

One is corrosion: when parking, dust and moisture in the air are easily immersed in the machine from gaps, orifices, etc., causing tractor parts to be contaminated and corroded; relatively moving surfaces such as pistons, valves, bearings, gears, etc. out of fixed in a certain position for a long time, when losing the protection of the flowing and pressurized lubricating oil film, will leads to corrosion, rust, cement blockage or adhesion, resulting in scrapping. Second is aging: Rubber, plastics and other components will age, deteriorate, become brittle, or corrode and rot in the sun due to the action of ultraviolet light. The third is deformation: transmission belts and tires are subject to long-term stress, which leads to plastic deformation. Fourth, the electrical components are wet and the battery will discharge itself.

People should do the following before storing the tractor:

First of all, when the tractor enters the warehouse in winter, the most basic requirement is to have clean by cooling water. Although this point is emphasized every year, the engine is subject to frost damage every year. It is necessary to remember drainage. Second, put clean water when draining. It is important to put all the coolant in the radiator, tractor engine block, water-cooled engine oil radiator, and air heater to prevent frostbite on the engine in winter. There is no need to add antifreeze during the shelf life.

Second, carefully check the tractor parts, eliminate the fault, maintain a good technical state, and clean the appearance of the tractor. Third, take out the battery, its electrode is coated with grease, and store them in a dark, ventilated place where the indoor temperature is not lower than 10 ℃.

Fourth, carry out anti-rust treatment and add grease at each lubrication point. Fifth, use dehydrated petroleum jelly (heated to 100 ℃ ~ 200 ℃) to paint the surface of electrical contacts, connectors and unpainted metal parts. Sixth, loosen the fan belt of the engine, remove the belt if necessary, wrap it and store it separately, spray the rust inhibitor in the groove of the pulley, and repair the paint on the surface of the tractor. Then use a wooden frame to unload the tractor and tires. Keep the tire slightly off the ground to prevent the tire from deforming for a long time under single-point compression, regularly check the tire pressure, and lower the suspension mechanism to the lowest position.
