Everything’s surface has a certain degree of surface roughness. When the engine is working, friction and wear will inevitably occur. The resistance caused by friction not only consumes power, hinders the movement of the parts, but also causes the parts to heat up, and even burn down the working parts.
Therefore, the friction surface of the parts must be lubricated. That is, we add a layer of lubricating oil between the working surfaces of the two parts to form an oil film, which completely separates the parts. In this way, power consumption and wear will be greatly reduced.
The function of the lubrication system is to continuously deliver a sufficient amount of lubricating oil to the friction surfaces of all transmission parts when the engine is working, and form an oil film between the friction surfaces to reduce friction resistance, power consumption and wear of machine parts to achieve the purpose of improving engine reliability and durability.
Besides, it can play the role of sealing, rust prevention and noise reduction. In the long-term use of the tractor, the wearing speed of diesel engine parts depends largely on the reliability of the lubrication system.
When you find the oil pressure tank or the oil pressure level is low, stop and check immediately. Possible reasons are as follows:
Insufficient amount of lubricating oil, and clogging of the suction screen, oil filter screen or air leakage in the pipeline, etc.
Oil pressure gauge or oil pressure sensor failure.
The viscosity of the engine oil is too low, or the temperature of the engine oil is too high, which makes the engine oil watery.
The wear of the main bearing, connecting rod bearing, camshaft bushing, etc. ,which makes the clearance too large, resulting in increased oil leakage.
High oil pressure will damage the filter element. The main reasons are as follow:
(1) The oil viscosity is too large;
(2) Incorrect adjustment of the pressure limiting valve;
(3) The oil pressure gauge or sensor failure;
(4) The lubricating oil passage of the cylinder block is blocked;
(5) The assembly gap between the main bearing and the connecting rod bearing is too small.
(1) Long-term overloading of diesel engines;
(2) Too much high-temperature exhaust gas in the crankcase, and poor ventilation;
(3) Poor oil radiator or the cooling system
(1) The gap between the cylinder and the piston ring is too large;
(2) Damaged or worn piston ring
(3) Seriously worn intake duct
(4) Too much engine oil
(5) Leakage in the oil circuit
(6) Low oil viscosity
Anyway, you must pay attention to oil pressure, do an oil pressure check regularly and if any oil pressure warning symptoms appear, find out the cause.
