Why Tractor Emits Black Smoke?

1. The working environment of agricultural vehicles is relatively bad. The heavy dust in the air is very likely to cause air filter clogging and insufficient air intake.

2. The use of diesel fuel with low quality.

3. When passing the bridge or climbing the hill, operators didn’t shift to low gear. Rapid speed increase, overload, and speeding, may all cause tractors to emit black smoke.

4. The bolts of the coupling of the fuel injection pump are loose, the keys and key grooves are loose, and the connecting driven disc is misaligned, which causes fuel injects too early.

5. Low injection pressure; small injection angle; uneven fuel injection amount of each cylinder; poor atomization; damaged the fuel outlet valve; low quality of fuel injection drops.

6. Insufficient compression pressure caused by the damaged valves, pistons, piston rings, cylinder walls, cylinder gaskets, and the valve cam on the camshaft, etc.

Solutions

1. Constantly check the aging degree of carburetor and other parts. Carburetor cars are different from EFI cars. They need to be maintained and adjusted frequently. So you should probably start to develop good car using habits.

2. Check the cylinder line every 30,000 kilometers for EFI vehicles, check the spark plug every 10,000 kilometers, and replace it if there are problems.

3. Reduce the load on the diesel engine and adjust the fuel injector.

4. Clean or replace the air filter or air intake pipe in time.

Tips on Maintenance

1. Wash the tractor thoroughly. Remove the dirt and oil on the surface of the tractor, and comprehensively inspect, adjust, and tighten all parts and screws to avoid loosening.

2. Drain the oil and water. If you are not going to use your tractor for a long time, you should probably drain off all cooling water, diesel oil, engine oil, etc. in the engine.

3. Maintain machine parts. Take an appropriate amount of dehydrated engine oil (heat the engine oil to about 130°C) into the pipe and turn the crankshaft to make the engine oil adhere to the piston, piston rod, cylinder liner and valve. And shake the piston to the compression top dead center, so as to prevent the valve spring, push rod and other parts from being long-time compression.

4. Disassemble the fuel injector. After cleaning the injector, put it in clean diesel oil, loosen the adjustment screw, and block the injector chamber with a wooden plug.

5. Fill the axle box with oil. Take 1kg of dehydration engine oil, pour it into the crankcase, and then turn the crankshaft several times to make the lubrication system full of dehydration engine oil.

6. Oil tractor parts. Coat the rocker arm, high-pressure fuel pipe, fuel injection hose, bolts and nuts with dehydration engine oil to prevent rust.

7. Lubricate well. Use lubricating oil that meets the standard to fully lubricate tractor parts well.

8. Dust-proof. For places that soil and dust enter regularly such as tractor engine air filters, exhaust ducts, water tank openings, oil tank openings, tie them firmly with plastic cloth or oil paper to prevent the entry of debris and dust.

If your tractor engine or tractor chassis doesn’t work or doesn’t work well, you should probably replace them. Firstly, you should check the types and size of the tractor engine or tractor chassis, then go get the tractor engine and chassis of good quality, from which choose your favourite design.
