The diesel unit is a diesel engine driven generator that converts the energy of diesel into electrical energy. Working Principle


In the diesel engine cylinder, the clean air filtered by the air filter is fully mixed with the high-pressure atomized diesel injected by the fuel injection nozzle. Under the upward compression of the piston, the volume is reduced, and the temperature is increased to reach the ignition point of the diesel. When diesel is ignited, the mixed gas burns violently, and the volume expands rapidly, pushing the piston down, which is called work. Each cylinder works in a certain order, and the thrust acting on the piston passes through the connecting rod and becomes the force that pushes the crankshaft to rotate, thereby driving the crankshaft to rotate.

Structural Analysis


An ordinary diesel generator is mainly composed of a diesel engine, a generator and a control system. There are two types of connection methods for a diesel engine and a generator. One is a flexible connection, that is, the two parts are connected by a coupling, and the other is a rigid connection. The high-strength bolts are used to connect the generator's steel connecting piece and the diesel engine flywheel disc. There are more rigid generators in the market for diesel generator sets. After the diesel engine and generator are connected, they are installed on the public chassis and then equipped with various protective sensors, such as water temperature sensors, which can be used to intuitively display the operating status of the diesel engine to the operator, and with these sensors, an upper limit can be set. When this limit value is reached or exceeded, the control system will give an alarm in advance. At this time, if the operator fails to take measures, the control system will automatically stop the unit. The diesel generator set adopts this method to protect itself. The sensor plays the role of receiving and feedbacking various information. The real display of these data and the protection function is the control system of the diesel generator set. The control screen is generally installed on the generator, called a backpack-type control screen, and some are placed on a separate screen. In the operating room, it is called a split-type control screen. The control screen is connected to the generator and sensors through cables and displays the electrical parameters and diesel engine operating parameters respectively. In addition, the generator set also has a chassis, a coupling, a radiator, a fuel tank, and some are also equipped with a muffler and a cover.
