What Is An Air Filter？

Air filter is a kind of filter mainly used for air filtration in engineering locomotives, automobiles, agriculture machines, laboratories, aseptic operation rooms and various precision operation rooms.

 

When the engine is working, a lot of air will be sucked in. The filter element of the paper dry air filter is made of resin-treated microporous filter paper, which is porous, loose, and folded, and has certain mechanical strength and water resistance. Paper dry air filter has the advantages of high filtration efficiency, simple structure, light weight, low cost and easy maintenance. It is the most widely used air filter for tractors.

 

The filter element of the polyurethane filter air filter is made of soft, porous, sponge-like polyurethane, and has strong adsorption capacity. This kind of air filter has the advantages of high filtration efficiency, simple structure, light weight, low cost and easy maintenance, but it has low mechanical strength and is widely used in tractor engines.

 

 

Advantages and Disadvantages of Air Filter

Various air filters have their own advantages and disadvantages, but inevitably there is a contradiction between the intake air volume and the filtration efficiency. The smaller the air intake volume, the higher the filtration efficiency, but the larger the air intake volume, the lower the filtration efficiency. Now, all kinds of cars, agriculture machines and various precision operating rooms have higher requirements for air filters. With the in-depth study of air filters, some new types of air filters have appeared, such as fiber filter air filters, double filter material air filters, muffler air filters, and constant temperature air filters, which can meet the needs of the increasing requirement.
