The reasons of heavy steering of the tractor

1. Heavy Steering (Hit it left and right), Fixed Steering wheel

The reasons for this malfunction are as follows:

1. There is insufficient oil in the steering oil pot. It is necessary to replenish oil to the specified oil pressure level. At the same time, it is also necessary to check the oil pressure sensor leakage of hydraulic steering devices, pipelines and joints. If there is oil leakage, it should be promptly dealt with.

 

2. The internal leakage of constant flow relief valve of constant flow overflow pump is serious like oil pressure switch leaking. Constant flow relief valve leakage is caused by wear constant flow valve core and the loose sealing. It needs to change the constant flow valve core; Constant overflow valve core is trapped by dirt in the oil resulting in lax sealing, it needs to be cleaned. Oil pressure control is important. Sometimes, it needs to adjust the oil pressure level. When the fastening screw is inserted or the gasket thickness is reduced, the spring preloading will increase, the setting pressure of constant flow pump will get higher, on the contrary, it will become lower.

 

3.  Wear of gear pump on constant flow overflow pump during tractor engine working . The wear of gear pump are mainly the wear between tooth tip and pump housing and the wear between gear face and floating shaft sleeve. The wear will cause serious internal leakage and will causes the reduction of constant current pump pressure and flow, so steering becomes heavy. It is necessary to change the constant flow overflow pump.

 

4. The fourth reason is that the steering fluid does not conform to the specification such as the tractor engine oil viscosity is too large. At this point, it is necessary to change to the steering oil in accordance with the instructions.

 

5. The missing of steel ball of full hydraulic steering power inlet steering check valve, the ball of the check valve is cushioned by dirt so that it is not tightly sealed to the seat, check valve ball into the valve sleeve and valve body between the ring groove, etc, that cause power steering when the check valve closed lax, oil inlet and outlet are connected and the heavy steering, the tractor engine working loses efficacy and tractor engine turning has errors . At this point, it needs to confirm the one-way valve installation, one-way valve ball and seat sealing, oil cleanliness, cleaning steering gear.

 

6. Full hydraulic steering valve core and sleeve deformation stuck, it demands that a small amount of hydraulic oil should be added to the inlet before installation. Turning the spool should be flexible, if there is stuck, it should be grinded or replaced.

 

7 Tractor engine problems like Tractor steering knuckle jam, poor lubrication and other mechanical faults cause heavy steering. It should be lubricated or replaced in time.

 

 

2. Light for slow steering, heavy for fast steering

The reasons for this malfunction are as follows:

1. Insufficient oil supply from constant flow overflow pump. The one reason is that constant flow overflow pump on the constant flow spool seal poor relief pressure or low setting pressure, the another reason is wear of gear pump on constant flow overflow pump and needs repairing or changing.

 

2. The opening pressure of the steering valve is low, so it is necessary to reset the pressure. The air entering into the steering oil should be carefully checked and the air entering fault should be eliminated. At the same time, the air discharging operation should be carried out on the steering oil.

 

 

3. The steering is light under light load and heavy under heavy load.

The reasons for this malfunction are as follows:

1. The opening pressure of the bogie relief valve is lower than the working pressure of the steering system, it needs to reset the opening pressure of the relief valve.

 

2. The relief valve is supported by dirt for relief. The overflow valve shall be cleaned.

 

 

4. One side is heavy and the other is light

The reasons for this malfunction are as follows:

1. Inconsistent steering resistance on both sides, such as a flat tire on one side. It needs to carefully check of the cause of the difference in steering resistance and rule it out.

 

2. It is caused by the wear and stuck steering valve core, valve sleeve.
