Function of Clutch


Ensuring a smooth start is the primary function of the clutch being a tractor spare part. Before tractor start, it is natural to start the engine first. In tractor start, the tractor accelerated from a completely stationary state. If the drive train is rigidly connected with the engine, once the transmission is in gear, the tractor will suddenly rush forward, which cannot start because the tractor has a great inertia from rest to forward, causing a great moment of resistance to the engine. Under the action of this inertia resistance moment, the engine speed drops sharply to below the minimum stable speed pair at the instantaneous time, and the engine stops running and cannot work, so the tractor cannot start. Therefore, we need the help of the clutch. After the engine is started and before the tractor start, the driver depresses the clutch pedal, disengages the clutch, disengages the engine from the transmission, puts the transmission into gear, and then gradually releases the clutch pedal to gradually engage the clutch. During the engagement process, the blocked torque of the engine gradually increases, and at the same time, the fuel supply to the engine is gradually increased by gradually depressing the accelerator pedal, so that the rotation speed of the engine is always kept at the lowest stable rotation speed without flameout. At the same time, due to the gradual increase of clutch engagement tightness, the torque transmitted by the engine to the driving wheels via the drive train will gradually increase. When the traction force is sufficient to overcome the starting resistance, the tractor will move from rest and accelerate gradually.

Clutch Maintenance and Maintenance Methods


The most important thing is that the clutch must be cleaned before installation to remove antirust grease and sundries. Secondly, the clutch can be installed coaxially or in separate shafts. The axial direction must be fixed. The driving part and the driven part are not allowed to move axially. When installing in separate shafts, the coaxially between the driving part and the driven part should not be greater than 0.1 mm. When the wet electromagnetic clutch works, lubricating oil must be added between friction plates. The lubrication method is divided into pouring oil lubrication and oil bath lubrication, the part immersed in oil is about 5 times of the volume of the clutch. Axial oil supply lubrication means that the axial oil supply method should be adopted during high-speed and high-frequency operation.

 

When installing the jaw-type electromagnetic clutch, it is necessary to ensure that there is a certain gap between the last face teeth, so that it is no tooth grinding phenomenon when idling, but it shall not be greater than δ value.

 

Because the electromagnetic clutch and brake are Class B insulated, the normal temperature rise is 40℃. The working temperature at the limit heat balance is not allowed to exceed 100℃, otherwise the coil and friction parts are easy to be damaged.

 

Power supply and control circuit, clutch power supply is DC 24V. It is obtained by step-down and full-wave rectification of three-phase or single-phase AC voltage, and the power required for no voltage stabilization and flat wave is large enough. Half-wave rectifier power supply is not allowed.

According to the use of the clutch, it shall meet the requirements of the following automobile transmission systems for the clutch. First of all, the engagement shall be smooth and soft to ensure a smooth start of the automobile.

 

The separation is quick and thorough, which is convenient for gear shifting and engine starting. The second is to have appropriate reserve capacity, which can not only ensure the transmission of the maximum torque of the engine but also prevent the overload of the drive train. The third is that the transmission inertia of the driven part should be as small as possible to reduce the impact during gear shifting. Fourth, it has good heat dissipation capability. When the vehicle needs to frequently operate the clutch during driving, the main and driven parts of the clutch will slip relatively, generating friction heat. If the heat is not dissipated in time, it will seriously affect the reliability and service life of the vehicle. The fifth is the ease of handling to reduce driver fatigue.
