Failure 1:Abnormal noise in the clutch


1. Friction plate sound. Because the steel plate of the driven disk warps, the surface of the friction lining is uneven, the strength is insufficient, or the friction lining often slips, it is easy to break the friction lining. As a result, the clutch is unclear and the free stroke of the pedal disappears, accompanied by a high-pitched friction plate sound. It should be disassembled and inspected immediately, and the friction linings should be replaced for maintenance of relevant parts.

2. Sound of disengaged bearings. If the release bearing is short of oil for a long time, its balls and rolling rings will die due to overheating. When the clutch pedal is depressed, the release lever ball will cause relative friction with the rolling ring to emit a strange sound, and it will also produce High temperature and accelerate the wear of the above parts.

 

We should remove the split bearing and repair, oil or replace it with a new one according to its different degree of damage. In addition, if there is no gap between the separation rod ball head and the separation bearing, the separation bearing will always be in a rotating state, and its service life will be greatly shortened. At this time, the clutch pedal has no free travel, and when the gear is in neutral, a slight release bearing rotation sound can be heard at the clutch part. Immediately adjust the clearance to restore the free travel of the clutch pedal.

 

 

Failure 2:Incomplete clutch release


1. The split club heads are not on the same work surface. When the clutch is disengaged, some of the springs cannot be fully compressed, and the clutch cannot be completely disengaged. The three separating rods should be adjusted on the same plane according to the specified requirements.


2. The new friction lining is too thick. At this time, pressing the clutch pedal to the bottom can not completely separate the friction lining. You can replace the standard friction lining, or add a metal gasket of appropriate thickness between the clutch disc and the flywheel.

 

 

How to maintain the clutch


1. The clutch bearings and shaft sleeves should be regularly lubricated. Some locomotive separation bearings adopt a closed structure. Usually, they are not greased. Remove the separation bearings during maintenance, put them into heated and melted butter, and take them out after cooling.


2. After cleaning the friction lining clutch for a period of time, the friction lining will slip due to oil contamination, and it should be cleaned in time.
