Causes of high water temperature in tractor engines

High water temperature of tractor engine usually has the following two reasons, the first is that the heat dissipation is not good, and the second is that the engine itself generates too much heat. Below we will analyze these two situations in detail.

 

 

Bad heat dissipation

1. Water pump. Open the water tank cover and start the engine to make the engine run at high speed and low speed alternately. At the same time, check whether the water in the water tank has obvious rolling phenomenon. If there is, the pump can be considered normal.

 

2. Thermostat. Remove the thermostat and check the opening temperature of the thermostat. Suspend the thermostat and the thermometer in the water container, then heat the container, check the starting temperature of the thermostat, continue heating, note the opening temperature of the thermostat, and check whether these two temperatures are within a reasonable range. Finally, stop heating, wait for the water temperature to drop below 82 ℃, check whether the thermostat is in the closed position. Otherwise, the thermostat needs to be repaired or replaced.

 

3. Water tank (including radiator). Check whether there is scale on the surface of the water tank, whether the cooling air duct and the water flow channel inside the water tank are smooth.

 

4. Fans. Check whether the fan blades are damaged, severely deformed or reversely installed, and whether there is sway vibration. If there is, it should be excluded immediately.

 

 

High heat of engines

1. Excessive wear of moving parts. After excessive wear of moving parts such as cylinder sleeves and bushes, additional heat will be generated when the machine moves. If these heats exceed a certain value, the water temperature will be too high.

 

2. The fuel supply time is incorrect. If the fuel supply time is incorrect, the tractor engine in truck is difficult to start, the power is reduced, and it is accompanied by abnormal smoke exhaust. There will be obvious knocking sound when the fuel supply time is too early or too late.

 

3. Overload operation. Confirm whether the tractor engine has been overloaded for a long time. If yes, immediately switch to normal operation. After a period of time, check whether the water temperature is normal.

 

It is worth noting that the high engine water temperature is sometimes not only caused by one or two of the above factors, but the result of a combination of factors. Therefore, comprehensive judgment is needed.

 

In addition, the high temperature caused by different factors will be different in terms of the degree of high temperature and the speed. For example, the high temperature caused by excessive wear of moving parts is slower than the temperature rise caused by the failure of the water pump and the broken fan belt. When troubleshooting, different high temperature phenomena should be distinguished, and the main contradictions should be grasped to find the cause of high temperature as soon as possible, so as to adopt corresponding treatment methods.
